Our main base camp offers safe river landing and departure strip for transporting harvested game and hunters. Our Guide Use Areas (GUAs), a secluded region over 250 miles west of Anchorage, require a minimum 2.5-hour floatplane flight to reach. Guided clients enjoy numerous comforts at our well-maintained riverside base camps.
What Type of Hunts Do You Offer?
We offer both guided and unguided hunts for moose and caribou and guided hunts for Alaska Brown Bear and Grizzly bear.
What Are Your Alaska Hunting Camps Like?
Leveraging our long-standing expertise in the Alaskan big game guiding profession since 1985, Alaska Bush Adventures provides hunters with well-equipped base camps situated in the heart of our prime hunting areas. This central location allows us to offer a more comfortable and amenity-rich experience than typically found on fly-out spike camp hunts, ultimately contributing to greater hunter satisfaction and success.
In our hunting camps we have 15′ x 20′ wall tents for common use & dining with ample table fare, large 3 burner propane stoves for cooking meals, a wood stove for heat, hot water showers, generators for power, a refrigerator/freezer to keep food items fresh and an outhouse toilet. Hunters sleep in 6-man extreme weather-type tents on full-size cots with sleeping pads. The base camps have satellite phones for communications and emergency use. Clients can use the phones to contact loved ones. We have a high speed Internet Starlink satellite system along with satellite phones for communications and emergency use. Clients can link their cell phones with the Starlink system to contact love ones in the lower 48. Our hunting Guides have video cameras to capture the daily activities, the hunt and actual harvesting of your big game animal for you.

How Do We Get To Your Hunting Camps?
Accessing our remote Alaskan hunting territory is convenient via a 2.5-hour float plane flight from Anchorage, landing directly at our main base camp next to the river. This camp is uniquely situated on the only deep, straight section of the upper river system capable of accommodating float planes and long enough to depart with a full load.
Alaska Bush Adventures ensures safe and efficient access to our remote hunting locations via DHC-2 De-Havilland Beaver aircraft, featuring wingtip fuel tanks for extended range. This significant remoteness not only increases hunters’ chances of success but also provides a comfortable and enjoyable real wilderness hunting experience, along with excellent fishing opportunities.
